Thank you for your help. The problem has been resolved. If any subsequent sellers encounter the same problem, believe me. If all your information is correct, then you just need to be patient and wait!

It must be a credit card -- not a debit card.
If you have trouble adding a card, add it first to the buying side of your account. Then wait a bit, and just select that card from the selling side of the account.

Make sure it is credit and not a pre-pay card. It can also be a debit care with credit authorization.

Something I haven't seen anyone address here is that name and address have to match exactly with the name and address on your account. There cannot be any variations. For example, if you use your middle initial on your account but your full middle name on your card, it might not go through. If there is any variation with address, for example street on one but ST on the other, it might not go through. If the address on your account differs from the address on your credit card, it won't go through. Everything needs to match. Just a few things I can think of that I haven't seen addressed yet.

I got this(or similar notice) yesterday and couldn't get into seller account. It said a credit credit on file was no longer valid. A year ago I updated a new credit card which I have used to buy things on the site with no problem but I did not remove the old one which expires in two months. Once I clicked on the provided link "update credit card info" and deleted the old credit card (which I had forgotten about) I was immediately allowed to access my account again.
