HELP: My account has been deactivated

HELP: My account has been deactivated

I got an email on 19th of March 2024 that my account has been deactivated, requesting me to submit some documents.

Attached is a screenshot of the email I received:

I did submit a govt. issued ID and business licence as I registered my seller account as a business. The documents were rejected and I got that feedback on 22nd March (second screenshot).

I had earlier requested a call on 21st of March and luckily I matched with a very friendly and professional account health support specialist and she advised me on some extra documents to provide:

  • Lease agreement
  • Utility bill
  • An extra written explanation of my extra case

Here's a quick explanation of my case. I registered my business in the US but I'm a citizen and resident of Nigeria and the way utilities (phone, internet, water, gas, electricity, etc) are structured here is dissimilar to other countries.

So, it's difficult to provide a utility bill that carries my name and address. I however provided a utility bill that shows my address and my landlord's name alongside a tenancy agreement that also shows my address and landlord's name.

I've submitted these documents on 23rd of March but haven't heard back from that.

I requested a call yesterday March 25th. The support specialist I matched with was patient but unprofessional (he was yawning consistently into the his mic) and didn't provide much help. He just kept hitting on the fact that "I won't be able to reinstate my account" and Amazon will not respond to further emails concerning my case because of the last sentence in the second screenshot even after I had explained to him I was supposed to be paid by Amazon on the 19th and I just sent some stock to Amazon warehouse.

So, I'm here seeking help on how to reactivate my account. O ye gurus of selling on Amazon, come to my aid 🙇🙏

PS: I'm a new seller on Amazon and I just started selling, got my first order on March 3rd, 2024

You mention having provided several documents for review, but have not received a response. When you communicated with the specialist, did they confirm if your submission was still under review?

If the information has been denied, it will be due to our team not having been able to validate what was provided. Based off the messaging, it does appear that our team may not respond due to not having been able to verify your information. We would recommend providing what documentation you do have available for review.
